Aden (arabisch عدن, DMG ʿAdan [ˈʕɑdæn]) ist die viertgrößte Stadt im Jemen mit 568.704 Einwohnern. Von 1967 bis 1990 war sie die Hauptstadt der Demokratischen Volksrepublik Jemen. Am 21. März 2015 wurde Aden von Präsident Abed Rabbo Mansur Hadi zur Interimshauptstadt Jemens erklärt, da die Hauptstadt Sanaa von Huthi-Rebellen besetzt wurde.
