    De Argonauten (Oudgrieks: Ἀργοναῦται, Argonautai) waren een groep helden in de Griekse mythologie, die in de jaren voor de Trojaanse oorlog, rond 1300 voor Christus, Jason vergezelden naar Colchis in zijn zoektocht naar het Gulden Vlies. Hun naam komt van hun schip, de Argo, genoemd naar de bouwer Argus. 'Argonauten' betekent letterlijk 'Argo-zeilers'. Ze werden soms Minyërs genoemd, naar een prehistorische stam in het gebied.
