La Seu d'Urgell (antigament Urgell o Ciutat d'Urgell) és una ciutat de Catalunya situada al Pirineu, capital de la comarca de l'Alt Urgell i cap del partit judicial de la Seu d'Urgell, seu del bisbat d'Urgell. Va ser el cap de l'antic comtat d'Urgell. Es troba dins de l'àmbit funcional de l'Alt Pirineu i Aran, n'és la població amb més habitants, concentrant-ne el 17,4%. Juntament amb Puigcerdà, aplega fins al trenta per cent de la població de l'àmbit.
