The Pac-Man character appears in the film Pixels (2015), with Denis Akiyama playing series creator Toru Iwatani. Iwatani makes a cameo at the beginning of the film as an arcade technician. Pac-Man is referenced and makes an appearance in the 2017 film, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and the video game, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy.
