Aromanian , also known as Macedo-Romanian or Vlach, is an Eastern Romance language, similar to Meglenoromanian, or a dialect of the Romanian language[2] spoken in Southeastern Europe. Its speakers are called Aromanians or Vlachs. It is heavily influenced by Albanian.

Nov 27, 2021 · Aromanian (Armâneaşti) Aromanian is an Eastern Romance language spoken in Greece, Albania, Macedonia, Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia by about 300,000 people. Aromanian is closely related to Romanian, though it contains more vocabulary of Greek origin, while Romanian has absorbed a lot of vocabulary from Slavic languages and Hungarian.

Aromanian has about 350,000 speakers who mainly live in the mountainous zones of Albania, Greece, and Macedonia. Some thousand people from the wider region of Thessaloniki speak the third language which is known as Megleno-Romanian. The smallest Eastern Romance language, Istro-Romanian is used by fewer than 1,500 speakers in Istria.

The Aromanian language has some exceptions from the Romance languages, some of them are shared in Romanian: the definite article is a clitic particle appended at the end of the word, both the definite and indefinite articles can be inflected, and nouns are classified in three genders, with neuter in addition to masculine and feminine.
