PlayOn Desktop and Windows 11 So it looks like PlayOn used the Windows 11 compatibility issue as a ruse in order to get people to pay for their new Playon Home which requires a monthly subscription. PlayOn Home works with Windows 11 while Playon Desktop still does not. They have tried to pull a fast one on their loyal Playon desktop customers.

My Playon Desktop somehow got "upgraded" to the Home version and no longer worked. It wanted more money. I'm on Windows 10 still and was working fine two weeks or so ago. They advised me to put the old "Desktop" version on and so i did uninstall the Home and put it back. Now it records for only 1.5 minutes on both Netflix and Amazon.

So, Playon Desktop will not be allowed to install on Windows 11 and we'll need to start paying a monthly subscription if we want to continue receiving the service.
