There is a direct bus from Beijing Dongzhimen Station for 48 yuan (1.5 hours), I think the last bus left Jinshanling for Beijing around 4:30. There are also nice, affordable places to stay in Jinshanling (even along the path leading up to the wall) if you want to see sunrise or sunset.
