Jan 01, 2021 · The A340-200 aircraft did not last very long with Air France. The first two were sold to Lufthansa and Sabena in March 1996. One more followed in November 1998, sold to Air Tahiti Nui, and two more to AOM French Airlines in 1999. The larger A340-300 stayed with Air France much longer. Two were sold to Sabena in 1997 and one to Surinam Airways in 2009.

The Air France Airbus A340-300 aircraft features 275 seats in a three cabin configuration: Business, Premium Economy, and Economy. It is used on long-haul intercontinental routes.

Apr 24, 2020 · Air France's Airbus A340s are becoming a rare sight. Today the French flag carrier has retired another of its four-engined single deck aircraft. This leaves just three of the quad-jets in the airline's fleet - largely based in Paris. Following years in service, Air France has been retiring the Airbus A340 in its fleet.
