Hello Martin. You need to get a train from either Waverley or Haymarket station (both are in Edinburgh) with the direction Dundee or Glenrothes. The latter option may be flagged as a 'Fife Circle' train. Just be careful to double-check the departure information board to verify that the train you pick stops at North Queensferry or Dalmeny. Some express trains to Dundee won't. It's personal choice which of these two stations you get off at. Dalmeny station involves a slightly longer walk but there are more cafes, restaurants and shops there. North Queensferry is much quieter but has a nice lunch spot (the Wee Restaurant) and Deep Sea World if you want to make a day of it. Whatever you decide, the journey time will be no more than 20 minutes. Enjoy!
