The State Anthem of the Soviet Union was the national anthem of the USSR and the regional anthem of the Russian SFSR. It was adopted in 1944 and replaced "The Internationale". It was composed in 1938 by the great Alexander Alexandrov and the original lyrics were written by Gabriel El-Registan.
