Well. It is at least 9500 years old. Bhirrana in Haryana has been found to be 7500 BC which brings it closer to 10000 years. Now a lot of fire altars have been found there alluding to the Vedic origins of India. Not just that, there is a site in Ladakh that has been dated to 11000 years.
