• Find out what 1% of the the the whole amount (B) is - to do this you divide it by 100.
• Once you know the value of 1% you can multiply this amount by the number of percent you want to find.
• If you want to find 10% of 50 you divide 50 by 100.
• From this you know that 1% of 50 is 0.5
• So to find 10% you just multiply 0.5 by 10
• 0.5 x 10 = 5
• 10% of 50 = 5
