Technically, Turkey is a Eurasian country, as it has land both in Asia and Europe, just like The Russian Federation. And some people in the Eurozone think that's a real bitch of a situation, but then, there are other countries wholly within Europe they aren't particularly thrilled with either, esp. in the former Eastern bloc.

We are not Middle Easterner either since the motto “Middle East” was created by the UK during the 20th century. We do not accept a term created by occidentals. We are Turkish. Like Russians are Russians.
