23/01/2006 · I went from a 480P IF4805 to a 576P Sharp DT-300 and the difference the extra resolution makes is substantial, I'll never go back. The Sharp isn't the brightest projector around but it does a stellar job with a 720P HDTV feed, much more satisfying than the 4805.

18/09/2006 · My concern is that pictures generated from my DVD player look much better in 576p than they do in 480p as it is closer to my TV's native res of 720p (1366x768). Also, I had to stop using my 'cube on my £1k Sony LCD, even though I was using an RGB cable and changed the aspect to 4:3, the pixels in the picture still looked horribly stretched, washed ...

07/07/2007 · Wow you people are crazy, 480p looks miles better than 576i on a HDTV! 576i is like having vaseline smudged over your TV while having the game move like a snail! 480p is much sharper, the colours are richer (Nice and inky ) and the motion is much faster and smoother (Yay for true 60FPS!)

14/05/2010 · It's either downconverted for SD (480i, 480p) or upconverted to HD (720p, 1080i, 1080p). As far as I know, most games are rendered internally at a little less than what would be 720p resolution.

02/12/2020 · 480p resolution or standard resolution. 480p has a resolution of 720×480. This means that it has 720 pixels horizontally and 480 pixels vertically. The standard channels that we see on TV support this type of resolution. So if you want to buy a TV only for watching news channels etc. you can for a 480p resolution TV.

09/03/2010 · Although your point is build on a good argument, there's a flaw. 576p is not "slightly" over 480p, it's midway between 480p and 720p. And 1080p is even farther than 720p than 720p from 480p. 720p...
