    Opera is perfectly safe to use. its owned by chinese company, so if you like you're data not being watched by the chinese gov. then go ahead, and god knows what other stuff they are upto. Generally speaking, browsers don't block viruses from my understanding since they come from you downloading stuff you shouldn't.
