It’s not a slur but it’s iffy coming from straight people seeing as it’s considered a derogatory term.

That being said, I’ve seen other lgbtq people crack jokes about ‘being fruity’ online, and I’ve occasionally done so myself. It’s usually done as a reference to yourself or your friends, or maybe fictional characters though.
