25/11/2017 · I'm horribly noobish when it comes to stuff like this. I downloaded Sublime Text to play around with Python while I did the course here. When I execute a program in ST or in my terminal window I get a message saying "terminals database is inaccessible". I think this happens when there's a clear screen command in the program.

Terminal: clear yields “terminals database is inaccessible”…. I just noticed that suddenly MacHg started producing something like the following when trying to open up a terminal from MacHg: That not clearing of the terminal commands happens due to clear no longer working.

If you upgrade to Lion, any settings profiles that used xterm-color will use the new default. (All "Declare terminal as" does is set the value of $TERM, by the way.) The error you're seeing indicates that the appropriate terminfo files for xterm-256color are either missing or inaccessible. You might try installing Lion again.
