    Why is Britain considered to be part of Europe?
    Britain is unquestionably part of Europe. It’s on the same land mass. Only a few thousand years ago they were connected (there are Iron Age village sites at the bottom of the sea). It is a part of Europe culturally, economically, genetically and geographically. The idea that Britain isn’t a part of Europe is a holdover from the “glorious” days of the Empire, when Britain ruled a quarter of the globe and was a rival with the other European colonial powers.
