For the record, these are Hanafuda playing cards and not French/European cards (Hanafuda decks have twelve flower-based suits of four cards each, so you can't use them to play Crazy Eights!) From what I've read, Nintendo's Napoleon deck is the highest quality cards they make, and I think it shows.

Nintendo built its reputation on cards and this deck is a beautiful example of why they succeeded. Beautifully crafted, the hanafuda cards are perfect. Please be aware that hanafuda cards are not the "Japanese equivalent" of the suits cards, they are not numbered or anything of the sort and as such are not suited to poker or anything like that.
