27/06/2019 · A Vocaloid, in simple terms, is a piece of voice sythysizing software that takes sounds made by a base human voice and puts them together to form words; or in this case taking words and assembling them to a musical rhythm to form a song.

Vocaloid is a piece of software used to model a human singing voice. Users can create music with the software by putting in a backing track and giving the Vocaloid program a set of lyrics to sing. While many Vocaloid (And similar software) mascots are anime-styled, there are no actual animes that include them as a main role.

Vocaloid is a voice synthysizing program that uses voice packs with names like Miku, Kaito, Luka..etc to create various songs and voices. The models like Miku became symbols for music videos and PVs which is where "Vocaloid" comes from. The models so far that have been created are Miku, Meiko, Kaito, Len & Rin, Luka, Megpoid, Lily and Gakupoid.
