The Normans that invaded England in 1066 came from Normandy in Northern France. However, they were originally Vikings from Scandinavia. From the eighth century Vikings terrorized continental European coastlines with raids and plundering. The proto-Normans instead settled their conquests and cultivated land.

Another common trait of the Normans, was their love of Hunting. In addition to the construction of new forest blocks across the Country, the Normans established lots of new laws.

Norse are the people from Norway during the viking age. Vikings were people from Scandinavia who went off to raid, rape, and murder via longboats. Normans were vikings who tried to settle in northern France.
