There were about 6 buildings open to remind us of what life was like in the early days of Tacoma. We were hoping to see a few more costumed characters. I am hoping to return at Christmastime. Full review by SarahR4243

Great place for kids and adults!! You get an opportunity to see how people live back in 1830th. There are several people dressed in a costumes from that time and they happy to take a pic with visitor… Full review by fefa1986

It's up to you. It's a living museum. You can look around, or listen to the guides talk about the era. There are many special events planned, and some are quite popular and can draw a crowd. I would look on their website before visiting to see what's on their calendar. I've visited many times over the years, and never had a bad day.
