Doo-wop From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Doo-wop is a genre of music that was developed in African-American communities in The USA. It started in the 1940s. Doo-wop achieved mainstream popularity in the 1950s and early 1960s. Built upon vocal harmony, doo-wop was one of the most mainstream, pop-oriented R&B styles of the time.

Doo Wop is a 2004 French romantic drama film directed, produced and written by David Lanzmann. It won the Mannheim-Heidelberg International Filmfestival for Award of Independent Cinema Owners, FIPRESCI Prize, and Special Prize of the Jury. It tells the story of a band manager who manages former girl friend's band but struggles for his debt of the loan sharks.
