Is Eostre an extension of the dawn goddess?
I agree the article needs to be balanced, but as of now there are few references to the comparative Indo-European studies discussing Eostre as an extension of a dawn goddess (and even if there were, this does not support the connection to modern Easter traditions, which is the main topic of Winick's article.)

What did Bede say about Ostre?
Ēostre is attested solely by Bede in his 8th-century work The Reckoning of Time, where Bede states that during ' Ēoſturmōnaþ' (the equivalent of April), pagan Anglo-Saxons had held feasts in Ēostre's honour, but that this tradition had died out by his time, replaced by the Christian Paschal month, a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus.
