Atlas (altgriechisch Ἄτλας Átlas, vom Wortstamm τλα wie in τλῆναι tlḗnai, deutsch ‚tragen, erdulden‘) ist in der griechischen Mythologie ein Titan, der das Himmelsgewölbe am westlichsten Punkt der damals bekannten Welt stützte. Er ist somit auch die Personifizierung des Atlasgebirges.
