Carl Gustaf Tessin, född 5 september 1695 på Tessinska palatset i Stockholm, död 7 januari 1770 på Åkerö slott, var en svensk greve, diplomat, politiker, ambassadör, riksråd och kanslipresident (regeringschef) 1746–1752. Tessin var frihetstidens tongivande kulturpersonlighet och hans konstsamling utgör grundplåten för Nationalmusei samlingar. Han var son till Nicodemus Tessin d.y. och Hedvig Eleonora Stenbock samt gift med Ulla Tessin, född Sparre.
