The failure of any political bloc to win a majority in this election led to a coup against the SPD-led government by the nationalist Chancellor Franz von Papen. This dissolved the Prussian government and subordinated Prussia to the Reich government. Prussia's government was de jure restored by the Nazis in 1933, but had no power.

One entitled to take part in the election of different communes, can only exercise his right as primary voter in one commune.
