The Indiana State Fair is an annual state fair traditionally held each August at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center, which is located roughly 4 mi (6.4 km) north of downtown Indianapolis, Indiana, U.S. The first state fair was held in October 1852 on the grounds of Military Park in Indianapolis. The fair has taken place at its current venue since 1892.
