Baïkonour (en kazakh : Байқоңыр / Bayqoñır ; en russe : Байконур), anciennement Leninsk durant la période soviétique, est une ville du Kazakhstan créée en 1995 et administrée par la Russie par un accord bilatéral jusqu'en 2050 [1].Elle s'est développée autour du cosmodrome de Baïkonour et a été officiellement rebaptisée Baïkonour le 20 décembre 1995.
