If they like zoos, they'd enjoy it. After all, you're just going to the zoo! I would say that the 3 year old may not take to the 'structure' so well though. Through the day at a zoo, they can just run from animal to animal and tire themselves out. On the evenings, you're listening to talks by the keepers and as it's a small group, I can't imagine others would be too happy if they can't hear the keeper over your child getting bored and being noisy. I'm not sure other guests would appreciate the noise of a 3 year old in the Lodge Village once you all retire back there though as it's lovely and peaceful in the evening and people want to hear the animals. Any noise, even pretty 'average' children noise would travel around the whole little Lodge area. Maybe the Whipsnade overnights would be better as it's a bit more like glamping and they'd have more space and freedom to 'play'.
