Michael Haneke (* 23. März 1942 in München) ist ein österreichischer Filmregisseur und Drehbuchautor. Seine Spielfilme (Die Klavierspielerin, Caché, Das weiße Band, Liebe) wurden vielfach preisgekrönt, unter anderem mit dem Oscar, zwei Goldenen Palmen der Filmfestspiele von Cannes, zwei Golden Globes und mehreren Europäischen Filmpreisen.
