Tacoma (/ t ə ˈ k oʊ m ə / tə-KOH-mə) is the county seat of Pierce County, Washington, United States. A port city, it is situated along Washington's Puget Sound, 32 miles (51 km) southwest of Seattle, 31 miles (50 km) northeast of the state capital, Olympia, and 58 miles (93 km) northwest of Mount Rainier National Park.The population was 219,346, according to the 2020 census.

City University of Seattle (CityU) is a private university in Seattle, Washington.In 2016–17, CityU enrolled 6,755 students worldwide. The university consists of the School of Business and Management, The School of Education and Leadership, The School of Technology and Computing, The School of Health and Social Sciences, and Washington Academy of Languages.
