Vascones (del latín: gens Vasconum) fue el nombre dado por los romanos en la Edad Antigua al pueblo de la península ibérica cuyo territorio se extendía hacia el siglo I entre el curso alto del río Ebro y la vertiente peninsular de los Pirineos occidentales, una región que se corresponde en la época contemporánea con toda Navarra, parte de Guipúzcoa, áreas del oeste de la provincia de Zaragoza, y noreste y centro de La Rioja.
