  1. 1080p, 4k, 60fps? What does it mean? | DashCamTalk

14/01/2015 · For now, I'd say, 1080p and 60 FPS (frames per second ) will get you the best output. Normally having 4K (which is 4 times 1080p resolution) will obviously get a better image quality, also when downscaled to back to 1080p, but with less FPS, a higher file size and a need of more computer power when editing.

  2. 1080P @ 60fps or 1440P HDR? | DashCamTalk

18/11/2017 · Off course 1440p will have greater detail as it is after all a higher resolution, but again compared to 1080 it is marginal i think, at least not something that just jump out at ya making you go, "dauuum that's a lot better"

01/07/2013 · With 1080 lines of horizontal resolution, the camera's processor "guesses" what color and intensity the extra pixels should be by analyzing the values of the physical pixels that surround the ones that are to be "interpolated" or estimated. I have had DVD players that do a pretty good job of "up-converting" DVD movies to 1080 resolution, but ...

  4. 1080p 60fps at Night? | DashCamTalk

    https://dashcamtalk.com/forum/threads/1080p-60fps-at-night.39540

27/06/2019 · Many cameras use the IMX291 which is not only one of the best sensors for dashcams in low light, but also has a maximum resolution of 1080p at both 30fps and 60fps. Using maximum resolution will reduce motion blur on plates all day long, not just at midnight, due to being able to read the plates further away.

How many pixels per foot does a 1080p image have?
If a 1080p sensor 'sees' a 30ft wide field of view, that's 36 pixels assigned per foot of image width. If the field of view is narrowed to 20ft, that's 54 pixels per foot. If the field of view is widened to 40ft, that's 27 pixels per foot. Going from 120 degrees to 140 degrees increases the width of the image by about 50%.

Is 4K resolution better than 1080p resolution?
Normally having 4K (which is 4 times 1080p resolution) will obviously get a better image quality, also when downscaled to back to 1080p, but with less FPS, a higher file size and a need of more computer power when editing. My GoPro records in 4K, but only at 15 fps, which makes the video look a bit jerky when compared.

Is 1080p 60fps good for video editing?
It will look good too, but it won't be as high file size, with one downside being that it's not as "optimal" if you'd wish to slow down the video when editing. All summed up, 1080p 60 FPS is a very good choice. thanks dean.

21/09/2014 · Jun 17, 2014. #1. So I just got a G1W, and the "version" screen says: G3-33DP-V07. There are a couple menu entries I can't find any info on, so I bet someone here knows. 1. The top resolution, above the default "1080FHD" is "1296P 1728x1296."

  8. Field of view angle - DashCamTalk

    https://dashcamtalk.com/forum/threads/field-of-view-angle.12297

19/09/2015 · If we have a 720p width sensor and a 1080p width sensor (1MP and 2MP), at a given distance, each pixel would represent an object of the same size if the field of view of the 720p cam was two-thirds the width of that of the 1080p. If a 1080p sensor 'sees' a 30ft wide field of view, that's 36 pixels assigned per foot of image width.
