De Andes (voluit: La Cordillera de los Andes) is een grote, langgerekte bergketen langs de westkust van Zuid-Amerika. Het berggebied is ongeveer 7000 km lang, op sommige plaatsen 160 km breed en heeft een gemiddelde hoogte van circa 4000 m.
