05/06/2020 · From the game selection menu head all the way back to the start and click on the world. You will then be able to find the NPC that is holding your present. Click on them on the world and open your gift and you will receive the Mario Hanafuda cards to use whenever you wish.

If you have four cards of the same month in your hand, you show them and win the game immediately, collecting 5 chips from each opponent. (In a three-player game, if two players have quads, each collects five chips from the third player; if everyone has a quad, the payments cancel and there is no score.)

(Unfortunately, Amazon is the only place I’ve found to import these at a decent price in the USA). When you’ve got your cards in hand, open them up and take a look at the instruction sheet. It’s written in Japanese. Useless.

To get a card, you need to match a card from the player's hand with a card from the table from the same month. The points are obtained by forming captured hands - yaku - with the cards that the player had recovered. How to determine the dealer: Each player draws a card and whoever is closest to the first month starts the game.
