Der Reichstaler (Schreibweise bis etwa 1901 Reichsthaler; Abkürzungen: Rthlr., Rthl., rthl., Thl.) ist eine vom 16. bis zum 19. Jahrhundert im Heiligen Römischen Reich verbreitete große Silbermünze. Große Silbermünzen ähnlichen Silbergehalts, teilweise auch ähnlicher Bezeichnungen (z. B. dän. Rigsdaler), wurden vielfach nachgeahmt.
