The Duchy of Pomerania was however ruled by dukes with Polish names, such as Bogislaw and Wartislav, until its demise in 1637. This is a deeply interesting phenomenon in my opinion, as I find it odd that German dukes would rule with Polish names, and yet the idea of Polish dukes ruling a German polity in the HRE is also quite an anomaly.
