The end of the conflict. The Troubles continued in Northern Ireland throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, especially because of the IRA’s on-going armed campaign. However, in 1983, the republicans’ political wing Sinn Féin started to peacefully negotiate the end of the conflicts.
