    The answer is it depends on who and which situation. I would say on diplomatic level the Iranians would communicate in Farsi, and the Arabs in Arabic, with a translator in the middle. As tourists I guess English would be the preferred language. Doing business I would also say English. Although some Iranians do speak Arabic.
